Now that Dropbox has open-sourced Zulip, and after two years of providing the service, Dropbox has decided to stop providing the Zulip service, effective 31 July 2016.
Fortunately, a new service, founded by Tim Abbott (MIT alum, Zulip cofounder and maintainer of the Zulip open-source project), has offered to continue providing the Zulip/Zephyr service for you on its own servers. …
We can do the migration for you, but we need your permission to migrate your user data over to these new servers.
